The Huskies played in the MHSAA State Championship on Saturday at Grand Ledge High School against Warren De La Salle. The Huskies and Pilots came into the game with fairly similar records. The Pilots started the scoring at 10:01 but the Huskies answered just a minute later when Dylan Van Skiver was able to knock in a free kick. The Pilots took a 2-1 lead going into halftime. The Huskies pressed to tie it up in the second half but just were not able to get one in net. The pilots added two late goals as the Huskies were aggressive in the final 3 minutes. It was a fantastic season for the Huskies who were victors in three shootout victories to make it to the State Championship game. The Huskies graduate 4 seniors - Henry Lincolnhol, Carter Mackson, Ben Pease and Tyler Shin. With 20 returners on the roster from 2024 the Huskies will look to improve in the offseason and chase another state championship run in 2025.
