OKEMOS, Mich. — The Forest Hills Northern boys lacrosse team delivered a remarkable comeback performance Tuesday night, capturing the MHSAA Regional Championship at Okemos High School with an unforgettable overtime victory. After falling behind 7-1 early in the contest, the Huskies refused to back down. Showing resilience, determination, and belief in one another, Forest Hills Northern steadily battled its way back into the game. The Huskies’ defense ignited the turnaround effort, anchored by standout performances from Jack Stewart and goalkeeper Elliot Scholten. The defensive unit tightened its grip throughout the second half, limiting scoring opportunities and providing the momentum the team needed to climb back into contention. As the defense locked in, the Huskies’ offense found its rhythm and began consistently finding the back of the net. Goal by goal, Forest Hills Northern erased the deficit and forced the game into golden goal overtime. In the extra period, Greg Williamson etched his name into Huskie history, scoring the game-winning goal to complete the dramatic comeback and secure the regional championship for Forest Hills Northern.
