March 6, 2026 Forest Hills Northern Girls Basketball Wins MHSAA District Championship GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Forest Hills Northern girls basketball team captured the MHSAA District Championship on March 6 with a 55–38 victory over Grand Rapids Northview. The Huskies were led by Molly Sietsema, who scored 29 points to pace the Northern offense. Abby Sietsema added 17 points and three assists in the championship win. Forest Hills Northern used a strong second quarter to create separation from Northview and maintained control the rest of the game. The Huskies carried that momentum through the second half, continuing their defensive pressure and balanced offensive attack to secure the district title. With the win, Forest Hills Northern earned the MHSAA District championship with a 55–38 victory over Northview. They will play Hudsonville HS at Zeeland East HS on Monday, March 9th at 5:30pm
